I write contemporary, mostly realistic fiction. My historical tale Keep the Home Fires Burning was selected in the anthology Underground Rivers in 2012. My short story collection- Snuff and Temperance, based on life in my home town of Luton, was published by Andrews UK in 2015.
After marrying Zsófia and settling in Hungary, my entry The Márna Hours was awarded third place in the 2021 Ruritania Prize for original short fiction from Central and Eastern Europe. I remain an enthusiastic angler. My collection of modern fishing stories- As Deep As England- was self-published in 2023.
A keen amateur photographer, I enjoy working in both colour and black & white. My imagery from Budapest can be found in the Portfolio. Reflections from a Lutonian Abroad are located in the Blog.
Enjoy!
